Bowling Alone by Robert D. Putnam (2000)

Woof. In his heavily data driven book, Putnam highlights just how increasingly disconnected from family, friends, neighbors, and our (massively beneficial) societal structures. Can't imagine how that could be true... ha.. haha.

Unfortunately, he couldn't begin to dream up the new and intensified ways he would be proven right over and over again in the coming years. Fortunately he goes on at great length about what we can do to reconnect.

WARNING: Do not pull an Adam Neumann and use this book to justify another WeWork/WeLive/WeEtc. Watched it happen first hand (long story), didn't work out for 99.9% of those in his new 'community'. Guess who it did work out for.
