Book: The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis
Alienated, brilliant, lonely and kinda strange. Perfect for double Aquarius interiority with Leo’s “my difference is my presence” quality. The movie, starring David Bowie, is also interesting but not as good.

Backup: Super-Cannes by J.G. Ballard

Film: Liquid Sky
Neon, alien, stylish, icy, performative and super weird. A great fit for the glamorous outsider archetype: downtown futurism, sexual electricity, theatrical self-invention and the total refusal of normalcy.

Backup: The Apple (fucking bonkers, not a 'good' movie per se but an experience that just clicks for me with this big three — bonus backup below)

Cool, elegant, synthetic and a lil theatrical. It has the Aquarius distance and off-center intelligence with just enough Leo poise, glamour, and performance.

A weird, stylish Polish mermaid musical-horror (!) about aquatic outsiders entering human nightlife culture (!!). It’s extremely Aquarius in its refusal to behave like a normal genre film, while the Leo comes through in the performance, spectacle, glitter, danger, and “creature becomes icon” energy.
