Craig Green's debut solo show, using "Zen" as one of its chief reference points, effortlessly spun up visions of samurais, gurus and solitary religious figures of yore. Beyond of course serving as an evolution of two mainstay themes of his, all that is quilted and all that is tie dyed, Green launched himself into a new cryptic era, dubbing this catwalk exodus "a silent protest."
He explored two silhouettes for the most part — skirtesue pieces, defined by strings that tied fluttering layers around arms and legs, and then body-hugging jersey wraps with cutouts.
This was the very beginning of the cult of Green.
