Rei Kewakubo dubbed the AW 1993 “The Artist in his Studio”, and to follow the theme Rei chose a hand picked selection of artists of the time Robert Rauschenberg, Doug and Mike Starn, Mattia Bonetti, and Sebastian Boyle to model the pieces.

All of her work feels 'artistic' in nature, but this particular show with its emphasis on cut and & sewn, reconstructed pieces, really nails the ethos in a way few others were able to.
