The Axis carries itself like a soulful ballad a la 'Whiter Shade of Pale' with its church organ but everything changes as the track hits its peak around four and a half minutes in. A squealing, deeply distorted solo rips in from out of frame to mesmerize and hypnotize before blowing all the way out.
