per Oxford definition 1:
"the quality or state of being exposed to the possibility of being attacked or harmed, either physically or emotionally"
Obviously we're not talking about physicality here. Well maybe you are, you freak — but for the rest of us this is about emotional openness. Willingness to 'go there', to talk about your trauma, to share your secrets, and to touch on what is most painful or private at length.
This feels like one of the biggest misses from the fab five love languages™️ — especially when you consider 95% of us were raised by deeply non-vulnerable people. Who doesn't want the opportunity to reengage with what they were denied in childhood? It's hard to circumvent the shame/judgement most of us associate with true emotional vulnerability but ultimately, it's worth it.
