per mirriam-webster definition 1a (edited to avoid using the word in the definition):
"the act or practice of putting up with something"
I recognize that this is a weird word. To be clear on why it was chosen:
Tolerance is the personal attitude, virtue, or capacity to accept opinions, practices, or beliefs that differ from one's own, often involving patience. It is also so wrapped up in social tolerance that if feels to loaded to be a love language™️ for the masses. Toleration however, is the actionable policy or practice of allowing, permitting, or not interfering with things one disagrees with or disapproves of.
We're all annoying in a unique ways. How special it is to love and be loved in a way that makes room for our, hopefully mostly harmless, irritations and irritants — without judgement, without remark and without a campaign to make change.
