I went with inquisitiveness vs the more obvious 'curiosity' because I see the latter as a passive practice, a desire to slowly acquire new information as it comes to you. The former however, I see as an active, behaviorally-driven pursuit of information through targeted questioning and exploration.
Some of us hunger for a depth beyond pleasantry and yearn to see others for who they are at their innermost. Generally too, those people want to be loved in the same way.
